About Us

The Fifth Avenue Merchant’s Association was formed by businesses along Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. The mission of the association is to annually fund & operationalize an official DOT Open Streets program.

A special thank you & acknowledgement to the 5th Avenue BID for their tireless efforts in running this program from 2020-2023, saving businesses & residents’ sanity.

The Fifth Avenue Merchant’s Association aims to carry the torch of 5th Avenue Open Streets beginning in 2024. We aim to foster this cherished community program for years to come!

Kind Words

“My office is deeply invested in the Open Streets program and committed to working with [The Fifth Avenue Merchants Association] for its continued growth and success. I am thrilled to see small businesses take initiative to continue programming on a portion of the 5th Avenue corridor. For the last four years, the 5th Avenue Open Street has brought together people of all ages and walks of life to build a lasting community in Park Slope, and I look forward to seeing the program continue for years to come.
